Thank you Oklahoma! My first trip to this state was a success in both sharing the art and creating new friendships. So many people to thank, beginning with Ty Gay and the Redline Jiu Jitsu crew, Dr. John Belardo for his unparalleled expertise, and Jabonn Flurry for taking care of me so well. I made several new friends, including Chris Cunnyngham and his students at The Forge, and was able to say hello to my old teammate and respected instructor under Marcelo Garcia, Paul Schreiner. Special thanks to my affiliate students (Alan Shade, Buddy Hooker, Michael Hooker, Demitra Warren Shade, and Laura Rosser Hooker) for making the 11 hour drive. Oklahoma impressed me, and I’m already looking forward to my next trip out to the Sooner State.
